Intimate Spring Wedding by Lake Como

Isabella & Luke – Italy, April 2025

Lake Como is one of the most romantic and currently one of the most popular wedding destinations in Europe. The perfect combination of mountains, lake, and Italian energy creates a magical atmosphere that captures everyone’s heart. And who wouldn’t dream of arriving at the ceremony by boat? (By the way, we can make the same boat experience happen even in Prague.)

When Isabella and Luke first contacted me, they were considering a wedding in Austria – their dream was to have their big day in the mountains. At the same time, they wanted a spring date, but the Alps were still covered in snow and often crowded with skiers. “What about Italy? How about Como?” I suggested, and their excitement was immediate.

Finding the Perfect Location

We began searching for a venue that would fulfill all their wishes – an intimate atmosphere, accommodation for guests, a space for a private chef, and a view of the mountains. After thorough research, we discovered a charming villa in Pellio Intelvi, just a few kilometers from the Swiss border. It was love at first sight – peaceful, scenic, and close not only to Lake Como but also to Switzerland’s Lake Lugano.

This is where their dream wedding took place: intimate, personal, full of love and friends. As they said themselves – “a wedding holiday for a lifetime.”

Our Preparations

Even though it was a smaller wedding, the planning was as meticulous as for a large one. Love knows no limits – and neither does our team.

We traveled by car with all the decorations, fabrics, tablecloths, as well as the bride’s dress and groom’s suit to avoid wrinkles during a flight. The floral arrangements were handled by our amazing florist Karol, graphics and stationery by Kristýna from Napořád Art, and makeup by the talented Berenika. The entire wedding story was captured by photographer Jana and videographer Filip.

From the very first days of planning, we also collaborated with web designer Petra, who created a beautiful wedding website. Guests had all the essential information, updates, and contact details, which allowed us to discreetly include surprises from the groom’s best man into the schedule in advance.

The bride wanted a joyful, colorful, and energetic wedding – a vision we brought to life together with Karol with great enthusiasm.

Two Days Full of Emotions and Italian Atmosphere

We arrived at the venue a day before the couple to prepare everything meticulously. We met with the local head chef, fine-tuned details, and went through the day-of plan with all the vendors. Isabella and Luke arrived the next morning, directly from Milan airport, where we had arranged a comfortable transfer for them.

That day also included an official civil ceremony at the town hall in Como, attended only by witnesses and our team. We handled all communication with the authorities, so the couple could enjoy the process stress-free. In the evening, there was a pre-wedding dinner with friends, prosecco, and delicious Italian pasta – the perfect start to their wedding weekend.

The next day, the villa was transformed into a magical wedding venue. Isabella got ready with her bridesmaids in the elegant suite, while the gentlemen enjoyed the “gentleman’s club” on the terrace with rum and morning Italian coffee. The ceremony took place right by the lake, followed by a reception with breathtaking mountain views – lightness, Italian cuisine, and joy. The afternoon was dedicated to a photoshoot by Lake Lugano, and in the evening, a true Italian party began – music, dancing, and laughter late into the night.

The morning after the wedding, we organized a brunch for the newlyweds and their guests, a boat ride on Lake Como, and a private wine tasting.
