Magical Proposal with a View of Prague Castle

For the beautiful couple Lucie and Jan, we planned an unforgettable proposal on the terrace of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, with a breathtaking view of Prague Castle.

We always approach proposal planning with great care. Our first step is to understand who the moment is for and, most importantly, the atmosphere it should have. Some couples prefer romantic music, like a violin or harp, others want complete privacy, while some wish for the moment to be captured forever in photos and videos.

When we started planning the proposal with Jan, it was immediately clear that the top priority was romance. He mentioned that Lucie had always dreamed of a truly magical moment, “with everything included.” During our conversations, we also discovered that the proposal should feel luxurious, which became a key factor in choosing the location. For Jan, luxury meant a beautiful setting, excellent service, and outstanding food and drinks. The terrace of the Mandarin Hotel immediately came to mind: Prague Castle at their feet, the setting sun, amazing cuisine, and stunning suites – we had a winner.

When planning proposals remotely, we make sure our clients feel as if they are right there with us. During site visits and planning sessions, we create video recordings, visualizations, and consult carefully, so they can fully imagine the moment and ensure it reflects their vision and their partner’s dreams.

We also involved event designer Andrea from Decor Boutique, who, like us, listened closely to every detail and created visual proposals. Jan wanted a tasteful and delicate design, so we chose a combination of white and soft pink roses on golden structures, accented with candles. For the first “wow effect,” we transformed the terrace into a twinkling space and prepared a private dinner area with a view of Prague Castle. Elegant, luxurious, yet still understated.

Another wish was to have the moment captured forever. This was handled by the amazing photographer Ludmila Esterková, who captured the most beautiful emotions and created timeless photos. The video was produced by Martin Blažek, and for instant content the couple could share with family and friends, we collaborated with Alina from SinceroWeddings, who created beautiful iPhone videos and photos.

Jan also selected the tasting menu, which the couple enjoyed after Lucie said “yes” to him, accompanied by a glass of excellent champagne. We planned a full-day program for them, and when they arrived at the hotel, everything was perfectly prepared.

The result? A magical, luxurious, and romantic proposal that Lucie and Jan will remember forever.
